Since 1997, Agricon has been producing bark products. But Agricon is above all a family business, founded by the brothers Guy, Luc and Jef Convens. The diverse talent of driving force Guy quickly leads to new insights. In addition to production, there is also a well-oiled distribution of bark products.
As the largest tree bark producer in Europe, we quickly focused on the recycling of the co-streams released during the production process. Result? The activities on the site in Overpelt expanded quickly and significantly, with ground cover for example. The expansion gives Agricon a contemporary face. A flag under which our entire organization wants to sail towards positive impact.
In no time, Agricon profiled itself as a leading company in the production and distribution of all kinds of products of natural origin. In the meantime, customers can rely on us for the complete picture: from a variety of bark products and potting soil, sand and ornamental osier, but also for wood fuels and wood pellets during the cold winter months.

Our targeted approach and strategic location prove to be a perfect match for a variety of customers. What did that get us? Today, Agricon has grown into a fully-fledged group with branches and loading points spread across Europe. Our products are offered throughout Europe and are appreciated for their sustainable quality and our innovative ideas for a greener world. We have carried Guy’s ideas with us for 3 generations now.
Fiberbeast machines
The driving force Agricon group also let to the innovative solutions of the fiberbeast machines. For the production of ecological friendly substrates inside the group, innovative solutions were needed to process woody raw materials such as wood chips, bark residues and other residual flows into high-quality raw materials. The success of these innovative solutions and new insights has led to Fiberbeast Machines as part of the Agricon group. With the goal to help our coproducers to produce more ecological friendly substrates.
